The Unambiguous Basin Monolithictrunkie 1st episode

The adventures of Trunkie the Toilet & his chums Cistern & Sneakpile, who together formed the band 280 Sheets. The comic strip dealt with all the exploits they were drawn into along the way.

Initially, I approached Viz and they said they liked the idea of a toilet playing in a band, but they couldn't afford to pay me, but not long after, Trunkie found a home at Flexipop!

The inaugural episode of Trunkie was in a 'Portrait' format, and immediately had to be redrawn in 'Landscape'!

As with a lot of bands in the 80s, 280 Sheets were together for around 2 years, yet much of that time was spent touring and trying to get a record deal. Before they split up, they did manage to put out records, mostly on Chaswood Records and were involved in several interesting musical collaborations.
