The inaugural Catalogue was a complete listing of independent labels' back catalogues and upcoming releases and was A4 48 pages and printed by CB Press. The predecessor of The Catalogue was MasterBAG, which included a flexi-disc featuring indie bands: Cabaret Voltaire, Theatre Of Hate, a Soweto Selection and others.
Originally bi-monthly, MasterBAG became monthly with more pages and the same format was continued with its successor: The Catalogue.
